The BCF Manager will be responsible for providing in-market support in terms of internal control environment. This includes a robust in-market SOX and FCPA compliance, local ownership and application of the BMS internal controls standards and Corporate Standard Operating Procedures, continuous monitoring of T&Es and disbursements, and coaching to all members of the market leadership team.

This requires a thorough understanding of the strategic, financial, compliance, reputational and operational risks faced by the market.

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of a solid Internal Control environment and a culture of controls identified as High-Risk for the market in Colombia.
  • Along with Compliance, Assess the relationships of the markets with third parties (Health Care Professional, Customers and Suppliers) in order to ensure that it complies with the corporate guidelines as well as local regulations.
  • Carry out the assessment of Financial, Operational and Fraud Risks (Risk Assessment). + Promote the culture of Self-assessment in the different teams of the market.
  • Maintain an active and effective communication of the annual program with the BCF Manager, BCF Regional Associate Director, Finance Director, General Manager and Operational and Compliance Committees.
  • Actively participate in the preparation of the Annual Internal Control Plan in order to ensure compliance with the SLA (Service Level Agreement), regional, corporate and / or local policies as well as local regulations.
  • Coordinate and carry out Internal Control reviews according to the annual plan to ensure that the internal controls are effective, where appropriate, define along with the owners of the process, the action plans to correct possible deficiencies.
  • Coordinate quarterly Sarbanes Oxley certification (SOX). + Responsible for completing the quarterly corporate reports related to Changes in the Internal Control (CICR), Consolidated Summary of Audit Observations (SAD and CSOAR), SOX Controls Testing based on the COSO Model, Monitoring of Days of Inventory (DOIs), Approval Levels (AA) etc.
  • Carry out the continuous Expenditure & Travel and Expenses (T&Es) Monitoring. + Play a role of Business Partner and Subject Matter Expert with the different areas in order to ensure compliance with controls, policies and procedures.
  • Be a point of contact for Corporate Auditors and provide them support when an audit mission is carried out. Requirements : + Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Audit or Internal Control. + Experience on pharma industry is a plus.
  • COSO methodology and SOX Knowledge. + Able to identify, document and evaluate key financial and business control processes within an organization.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint). + Must have strong communication skills (oral and written in both Spanish and English) and be able to interface with all levels of management.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CIA, CFE, CRMA or equivalent certification is a plus. Bristol-Myers Squibb recognizes the importance of balance and flexibility in our work environment.
