THE ROLE :

Recently Hillrom acquired the assets of Connecta, a software solution which will enable connectivity linking patient bedside vitals data from Hillrom beds, cardiac monitors and vital signs monitoring devices automating calculations for patient deterioration, falls risk and ulcer management.
The wireless solution improves clinical workflow, saves time, reduces errors and risk.
Engage target customers to deliver on top line sales in the area of Digital Health connected solutions, that include Connecta Software and all our connectable products.
The Sales Representative will be responsible for delivering on top line sales in the area of Digital Health connected solutions, that include Connecta Software and all our connectable products.
S / he will engage target customers directly from the pre-sales area working qualified opportunities with the Clinical Consultants to final closing of the deals providing an enhanced level of technical and professional expertise to selling connected device solutions with Connecta Software to key accounts and expanding customers through distributors.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS :
The Sales Representative reports to the Country Manager Colombia & Ecuador Northern Latin America. S / he will work collaboratively with Clinical Consultants, Field Engineers within the emerging markets, specifically Colombia as well as Marketing.
The Sales Representative will also work collaboratively with other Sales teams for other product categories (hospital beds and operating room / OR Solutions).
The Sales Representative will manage one Clinical Consultant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Delivering monthly, quarterly and annual sales target outlined in annual Sales Plan.
Report sales results against forecasts to management as well as any adjustments made to business plans to ensure objectives are met.
Interact with hospital key stakeholders like ICU Director, Medical Director, Head Nurse, Procurement
Manager and IT Manager.
Partner with Clinical Advisors, Field Engineers and Key Account Managers, Sales Manager and other Hillrom resources that may be present to create Pilot sites for Connecta and close the deals.
Contact and schedule appointments with target accounts accessing key stake holders to create pilots, will be responsible to reach the annual Pilot target.
Make regular visits to customer locations to gather information on orders and market conditions.
Identifies customer needs and recommends new products to address them.
Participate in the preparation of sales plans and campaigns, business plans and product development plans.
Promote and coordinate Professional Education activities extensive.
Ensure expenses stay within budget.
Resolve difficult problems and customer complaints.
Monitor progress and verify corrective action has been initiated when necessary.
Expected to function well within a team selling environment.
Work closely with the Service organization to ensure the requirements are clearly communicated and understood and that the company can deliver on those requirements prior to receiving an order.
Coordinate with the customer service team to ensure product availability. Manages stock and DEMO with distributor.
Review customer orders and product sales and established.
Achieve and maintain an unparalleled knowledge and understanding of the Connecta Software and the Hillrom connectable portfolio, as it relates to features, functionality, pricing, warranty, clinical applications and outcomes, and any / all other attributes.
Develop positive and collaborative working relationships with staff and peers from other functions ( Marketing, Operations, Regulatory, Finance, Legal ) to ensure that the most effective solutions are used in coordination of the sales process, to effectively and efficiently provide a full range of support for pre, and post-sale activities, and to enhance the effectiveness of the entire Sales function.
Ensure value proposition is presented to and understood by customers (End Users).
Support the creation of Reference Sites as it relates to developing and maintaining relationships with all key clinical stakeholders, and leverages KOL and success cases to accelerate sales in other accounts.
If necessary, leverage indirect channel to assure customers get the support needed.
Expected travel 50% (activities in the customers around the country).
This role will work out of our Colombia office in Bogotá. Candidates residing in Medellín will also be considered. Local candidates only.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Minimum 7+ years selling capital equipment (medical device IT or software) to hospital, clinics, etc. Software Applications sales successes will be a plus.
Established record of delivering sales goals and quotas.
Ability and willingness to travel a minimum of 50%.
Fluency in English; written / spoken / reading is required.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite); Salesforce.com ideal.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Established rapport, positive working relationships, and a demonstrated team player with all internal and external partners.
