GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Senior Pricing & Revenue management role within the Medtronic Americas team, leading the function in Brazil covering the functional areas of Pricing Strategy, Contracting, Tendering & Pricing Administration.
The functional lead manages the country pricing team focuses on driving strategic and daily execution of pricing, contracting and tendering initiatives across all business units.
The candidate will have to ensure implementation of pricing foundation processes and governance for the region.
This person will champion pricing and will be part of the regional and global Pricing function and will be working closely Medtronic Sales & Marketing leaders and the Finance team.
Specific Responsibilities :
Define and manage the pricing structure and capability in line with the county business and commercial strategy and goals
Lead on-going pricing activities across MDT product portfolio and drive value capture by implementing price strategy initiatives
Partner with marketing and sales teams on ad-hoc pricing projects and new product pricing
Implement operating mechanisms across Brazil to strengthen the focus on pricing as key strategic and profit lever
Implement key pricing processes and governance for the country
Propose and implement mechanisms to trigger price increases.
Develop best in class contracting and tendering capabilities including deal governance
Drive and monitor compliance to target prices.
Drive adoption of best practices and tools being developed at the LATAM & AMERICAS level
Support the implementation of new and innovative business models in line with value base health care initiatives
Evaluate pricing trends and recommend actions to ensure pricing meets Divisional strategic objectives. Conduct analysis and build consensus with key stakeholders to drive agreement on appropriate pricing levels.
Understand the full value chain and support Channel Management
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and government regulations.
Use sound business judgment and strong financial skills to interact with Regional VP, regional Sales & Marketing Leaders and other stake holders.
Fiscal responsibility for managing the annual budget.
Must Have : Minimum Requirements
Previous healthcare experience in Strategy, Finance, Reimbursement / Health Economics, Marketing or Pricing.
The ideal candidate should have in-depth understanding and extensive experience with the development and execution of pricing strategies that optimize market access and product profitability.
Significant experience is required in price, contract and tendering. Sales or downstream / operational marketing experience a plus.
The last one to two positions should have been in pricing, contracting or tender positions.
Proven track record on Business Partnership and process improvement
Strong Leadership and influence skills for all levels of the business
Knowledge and understanding of regional tender and reimbursement and funding path.
Strong business acumen and financial understanding.
Excellent analytic and strategic skills - Demonstrated analytical and statistical problem solving skills.
At ease and able to operate in a very diversified cultural environment
Experience with working in a matrix structure.
Strong written and verbal communication as well and negotiation skills to drive significant change management / adoption of new practices
Team player and track record of working collaboratively to manage cross-functional, cross-business issues and generate impact through others.
Fluent in English & Spanish
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
University + Master degree preferred
