Our $10B Global Tools & Storage (GTS) segment is seeking candidates for Sr BI Analyst, Digital Finance to continue driving digital transformation in the Finance Function.
Reporting to the Director, Digital Finance, the Sr BI Analyst, Digital Finance will play a critical role in advancing, developing, & deploying solutions that (i) automate / improve processes and (ii) use data & analytics and visualizations to improve Decision Support.
Through understanding business needs and leveraging an expertise in process improvement and next generation tools, this role will partner with various business functions and centers-of-excellence (COE’s) to drive digital transformation projects.
The role will provide exposure to executive leadership and directly impact the future success of SBD.
Scope / Responsibilities
Drive reduction in human-touch through process design (evaluate and improve the overall business process and where data is sourced, how it is connected, how it is transformed, and how it is presented).
Partner with the Automation COE to create RPA bots for select processes (automation engineering & / or automation development)
Use data & analytics (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, prescriptive) to enrich reporting with more powerful insights and improve forecasting with data-driven recommendations
Leverage new & existing data sources to develop actionable, insightful, and dynamic dashboards & visualizations
Utilize next generation tools to transform processes & reporting, and support the empowerment of the organization in adopting tools (like Alteryx) and using platforms (like Data Lake, PowerBI, Qlikview, OBIEE, Tableau, etc)
Lead the day-to-day execution of projects related to the above. Execution includes gaining an understanding of the business, identifying the issues & needs, developing a recommended solution, and creating a project plan for deploying a solution.
Skills & Experience
Natural curiosity & energy that leads you to ask questions and learn at an accelerated pace
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to transition between being in the weeds and communicating at a 30,000-foot view .
Advanced SQL knowledge and comfort with Qlikview, Alteryx, & PowerBI
Experience working with large data sets and strong practical knowledge of analytical techniques
Experience with VBA, Automation Anywhere, or other automation tools
Experience with machine learning tools (preferred, not mandatory)
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with a bias for action, integrity, and accountability
General understanding of business functions and common data sources / models
Ability to prioritize work, juggle multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong teaming skills, collaborative style and ability to partner with various functions (matrix environment) to ensure value delivery
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field), Finance, Accounting, or Engineering
5+ years’ experience working on business analytics projects preferred
