We are seeking to hire the services of a Senior Systems Engineer (Mobility - RAN) to join our remote international sales engineering team based in the vicinity of Bogota, Colombia to focus on delivering pre / post-

support for mobile products for customer accounts within the CANSAC / CALA regions. The Senior Systems Engineer will work remotely from their home office based in BOGOTA, COLOMBIA near a major airport and will travel extensively throughout the designated CANSAC / CALA regions to support Casa’s customer accounts.

The Senior Systems Engineer will have significant organizational impact as the technical voice of the customer ensuring customer requirements are developed and road mapped in Casa Systems’ products.

The role includes network design, technical presentations and hands-on lab certification for Casa’s LTE small cell solutions, service provider Wi-

Fi, mobile packet core, security, and virtualization solutions; mobile market segment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Subject matter expert in the area of mobility, radio access networks and 3GPP.
  • Partner with the sales team to drive orders by providing innovative RAN solutions for new business.
  • Obtains customer requirements and translates these into a (customer specific) Solution Design and / or Casa offer.
  • Leads prioritization of technical requirements and champions resolution of solution / product gaps internally.
  • Positions Casa as a thought leader and articulates its vision on technologies and solutions towards the customer.
  • Support and drive lab testing for new business opportunities.
  • Serve as regional RAN Mobility subject matter expert.
  • Lead technical responses for all RFX activity.
  • Perform hands-on technical lab trials along with pre-sales activities.
  • Develop strong technical relationships within the target accounts and account teams; serve as trusted adviser to account teams and customer base.
  • Evangelize Casa Systems Mobility Solution sets.
  • Work with internal management to identify, qualify, and develop mobile opportunities; deliver value proposition, sales presentations, and competitive positioning.
  • Create and develop technical white papers.
  • Represent and prioritize theater requirements with internal solutions development team.
  • Assist Technical Support with post-sales operational issues with product solutions with regional customer.
  • Develop strong technical relationships within the target accounts and account teams; serve as trusted advisor to account teams & customers.
  • Deliver technical training on products to Customers in the region.
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical discipline;
  • graduate degree is a plus.

  • 7+ to 10 years of RF related experience.
  • Willing and able to travel greater than 50% to customer sites throughout the CANSAC / CALA regions and to Casa's headquarters based in Andover, MA, USA.
  • A strong combination of technical and business development acumen and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced IP internetworking knowledge.
  • Understanding of key business challenges facing the mobile operator community.
  • Excellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience and technical knowledge with 3GPP GSM / GPRS / UMTS and SAE / LTE access technologies including Small Cell and Wi-Fi.
  • Knowledge of radio planning, radio network engineering, link budgeting engineering, cell planning (nominal & final), radio frequency planning, radio network tuning, and radio network performance optimization.
  • Understanding of mobile ecosystem.
  • Strong network of contacts within the mobile operator community within the designated US region.
  • Good interpersonal skills and an excellent communicator.
  • Proficient in IP computer networking, and has the ability to configure and / or replicate customer problems.
  • Ability to understand and prioritize technical problems.
  • Able to read, write and speak English and Spanish fluently is a requirement of the position in order to communicate with members of Casa's headquarters in the USA and our customers based in Colombia .
  • Self-starter and highly motivated.
  • Working knowledge of software defined networking and virtualization technologies and architectures.
  • The ideal candidate will be hired by a local Professional Employer Organization based Colombia and will not be hired as a direct Casa Systems, Inc.
