Location : Medellin, Colombia
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field - Highly preferred Masters Degree or Specialization
English : Full Professional Proficiency
Ability to travel to the US & Canada to visit customers as needed (no more than 30% traveling required)
10+ years of experience in Software Development
At least 5 years of experience directing Sofware teams doing project-based work
At least 3 years of experience with nearshore practice primarily providing services to companies in North America
Previous experience with projects using major development technologies such as Microsoft .NET or Java
Experience with at least one major ERP software such as SAP or Oracle is nice to have
Working experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies
Knowledge of QA Automation & Concepts highly desirable
At least 5 years as of Project or Team Management experience - managing timelines, resources, budgets, communicating with stakeholders and customer
Experience with direct communication with customers in the US, at Director and VP level ability to drive meetings, setting clear agendas
Role & Responsibilities :
Responsible for the performance of the team
Point of contact for customers regarding nearshore resources - coordinate time off, obtain feedback, coordinate traveling, receive additional needs
Assist with business development, proposals / estimates
Responsible for selection process & hiring of new resources according to a new need, including onboarding
Responsible for performance reviews and follow up on professional growth and goals
Plan and drive training plan for the team
Oversight for project work to ensure the team is meeting customer objectives
Lead internal projects for the company's maturity and growth
Coach and mentor team members to work on areas of improvement and leverage their key areas of expertise
Enable team members to give their best contribution, assisting them with any roadblocks or help they need to perform their jobs
Strategy to source and find qualified candidates or train in the house to meet customer needs
Other duties as assigned.
