The Role

As part of the expansion of the London CGI studio, we are looking for an enthusiastic, talented and experienced Lead CG Artist to help drive the business forward across a range of key accounts.

The individual will be the focal point of the creative and technical aspects of CGI production, working closely with our key agency stakeholders to develop effective workflow strategies and efficiencies, supervise projects and deliver outstanding results.


A front-facing lead role, acting as the main point of contact and liaising closely and collaboratively with the Head of CG, CG artists, production and agency stakeholders regarding the creative and technical aspects of a range of CGI projects.

Ability to work independently as well as supervising a team of CG artists in a hands on’ role to deliver high quality work on time and on budget.

Share knowledge and expertise to educate agency and client stakeholder what’s possible creatively and technically within time and budget.

Work closely with production to help scope, quote, resource and schedule new project briefs to determine optimum and efficient workflows.

Help develop new pipeline and workflow methodologies to support production.


Minimum 5-7 years experience in a similar fast paced commercials / brand environment.

Experience of working on integrated campaigns that include TVCs and Social content.

Experience of leading / supervising teams of artists in an client / agency facing role.

Demonstrable creative and technical skills with high attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present both creative and technical ideas in a coherent manner.

Confident, organised, resourceful and calm under pressure

A solid and versatile creative C4D generalist skillset across modelling, texturing, look-dev, lighting, FX and rendering - with an excellent appreciation of aesthetics, composition, animation, timing and pacing.

Good practical experience of using the Redshift renderer in production, as well as a thorough understanding of contemporary PBR rendering techniques.

A solid understanding of creative compositing with Adobe After Effects.

Experience of a range of DCC packages (e.g.. Adobe CC, Substance etc..) with the ability to learn new tools on a job by job basis.

A good overall appreciation of contemporary CGI, Motion Graphics and Post-Production pipelines and workflows.

Additional Skills

Experience of other core CGI and VFX software (e.g. Maya, Houdini, Nuke etc..) would be useful.

Experience of other third party renderers such as Arnold, VRay etc..
