Role Purpose :

The is responsible for developing and managing all aspects of our design and creative output as well as the development of the customer experience and service design.

It's a leadership role, with accountability for online and mobile design output and success of the design and creative department.

You will ensure the design and creative deliverables are aligned to stakeholder expectations and executed within budget and deadlines.

At times, we require you to develop visual designs, and at other times, be responsible for recruiting and managing multi-disciplinary third party suppliers as well as internal design resources, as well as managing a backlog and prioritization of projects.

It will involve you using your best practice toolkit to implement new processes and practices to improve the efficiency of the design and creative department.

Accountabilities :

  • Managing the design team and agencies as required
  • Influencing design-led thinking across the business
  • Lead concept development in relation to design and creative outputs
  • Develop creative programs, constant monitoring or referrals, industry leaders and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization and that advance our brand and proposition strategy
  • Develop and manage productivity and to continuously improve the design teams production capabilities
  • Ensuring that design and creative projects are delivered on time
  • Provide quality control over design outputs and production
  • Establishing and developing best practice with the design and creative team
  • Point of contact for liaising with external partners, such as agencies
  • Build out and maintain design system & brand book
  • Working on assets required for Product and Marketing teams Skills and competencies
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and remote teams
  • The ability to storyboard or translate ideas to designers and others, influencing external and internal stakeholders
  • Skills and Abilities :

  • Bachelor of Design, UX, Communications Design, a similar field or commensurate work experience.
  • 8 year of work experience as a user experience / product / interaction designer, information architect, or similar role related to UX.
  • Bilingual with written and spoken English.
  • A strong working knowledge of online and mobile design
  • Ability to lead design projects from concept to completion
  • Experience with design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Understanding of both web and traditional media
  • Leadership skills, team management
  • Acts with honesty and integrity
  • Curious and resourceful seeks out difficult questions and finds solutions
  • Resilient, able to learn from mistakes and move forward
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to deal with ambiguity
