Reporting to the Senior Manager of AR, your primary responsibilities include the successful management and reconciliation of your assigned portfolio of client accounts to maintain or lower Blackboard’s AR balance and increase available cash.

In addition to aiding in the collection on overdue accounts, you will be tasked with effectively resolving client issues and working collaboratively with colleagues in other Blackboard departments.

Primary responsibilities will include :

  • Researching and reconciling assigned accounts for clients located in the US and / or international
  • Following-up with clients to facilitate payments per contract terms and conditions
  • Maintaining complete records on all accounts including detailed documentation on collection efforts and issue resolution
  • Properly documenting client account activity to facilitate the reserving or write-off process as necessary
  • Mastering the interplay of various systems to assist with researching and resolving each account
  • Leading projects focused on enhancing team processes and procedures to facilitate best in class collection standards.
  • The Candidate :

    Required skills / qualifications :

  • Minimum of four years of work experience in accounts receivable or collections
  • Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and techniques and capability to recommend solutions to clients to resolve payment or invoicing issues
  • Client focused
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize to accomplish specific tasks
  • Highly motivated, can-do attitude
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively partner with clients and fellow colleagues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or above
  • Preferred skills / qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field of study
  • Prior PeopleSoft Financials and Salesforce experience
