JOB SUMMARY :

This role is accountable for the seamless flow of orders and product into the specified cluster / country market so that Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met.

For indirect (distributor) markets and customer segments, the individual will ensure orders allocations and shipping are accurate and timely.

For direct markets and customer segments, this individual will ensure that house orders have E2E tracking, from pick up at source to importation to storage and delivery to paying customer.

This role will be a key member of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, working with Regulatory Affairs and Global Operations to ensure that supply constraint issues are proactively and timely addressed for smooth product flow.

This person will liaise with Global Operations to ensure local warehouse and distribution operations run with appropriate standards and procedures and to strategically manage relationships with logistics partners.

This role is responsible to proactively devise and implement ongoing process improvements and cost-efficiencies to enable Hillrom’s competitive costs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Define and execute to Service Level Agreements to achieve superior customer experience.
  • Proactively lead short- and long-term warehouse and transport capacity planning and constraints. Be a key member of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, working with Regulatory Affairs and Global Operations to ensure that supply constraint issues are proactively and timely addressed for smooth product flow.
  • Manage 3PL performance. Define Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to effectively incentivize partner’s continuous improvement.
  • Implement and validate appropriate inventory controls with 3PL partners, working with Global Operations and Finance.

  • Drive process improvement and efficiencies. Proactively devise and implement ongoing process improvements and cost-efficiencies to enable Hillrom’s competitive costs.
  • Ensure landing costs and operational expenses budget and targets are met.
  • Support QMS deployment as process owner. Liaise with Global Operations to ensure local warehouse and distribution operations run with appropriate standards and procedures and to strategically manage relationships with logistics partners.
  • Own and define Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions relevant to effective and efficient customer experience in the last mile.

  • Drives root cause analysis and creates corrective and proactive action plans to address Quality of Service and damaged / mishandled product claims, both upstream with Hillrom’s plants and downstream with customers.
  • Work with distributors to effectively maintain a healthy stock pipeline to serve marketing and sales plans.
  • Carry out special projects and all other appropriate and reasonable duties that may be assigned from time to time.
  • Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A master’s degree or equivalent in any of the following areas : supply chain, logistics, operations, industrial engineering, chemical engineering, finance, accounting, business administration.
  • Past relevant work experience in the supply chain and operations space may supplement degree’s major.

  • Relevant certifications and courses are desirable APICS CSCP or CPIM, Supply Chain, Operations, Cost Accounting, etc.
  • At least 7 years of experience relevant roles : warehouse / transport management, supply / demand planning, process improvement, customer service, manufacturing operations.
  • Spanish or Portuguese is a must depending on the local market’s official language. Working business English reading, writing and speaking is required;
  • individual must be comfortable in managing through spoken and written communications.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS :

  • Relevant certifications and courses are desirable APICS CSCP or CPIM, Supply Chain, Operations, Cost Accounting, etc.
  • Advanced Excel and Visio applications.
  • Working knowledge of Project and Power Point
  • Good communication skills, adjusting the language according with the audience.
  • Independent but with high capacity to escalate issues for help / resolution.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
