Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Director of Marketing to join our team and help us drive bottom-line growth. We want to use creative, nimble, low-cost strategies to help businesses acquire and retain customers.

We want someone who is obsessive, curious, analytical, and knows how to set growth priorities, identify channels for customer acquisition, measure success, and scale growth. They also :

  • Focus on strategies related to growing the business.
  • Hypothesize, prioritize, and test innovative growth strategies.
  • Analyze and test to see what’s working.
  • You’ll get immediate responsibility and with the support of the full company you’ll bring challenging ideas and marketing campaigns that drive culture, personality, brand, and product programs in alignment with our business objectives.

    You’ll be actively engaged in the budgeting process, not only on the expense side, but on the revenue side, as you will co-own the retention and growth numbers with the sales organization.

    What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll work with a great team of creative, effective, and supportive colleagues to sustainably grow a company dedicated to improving educational outcomes and the lives of millions of learners globally.
  • You can count on : Working with modern web marketing tools like Salesforce, Pardot, WordPress, Drift Chat Bots, Zapier, Community and Social Media automation tools and other tools as you see fit to continually improve our marketing, lead gen, and client satisfaction outcomes.

  • Collaborating with subject matter experts to drive content creation (blogging, email, social media, etc.) and identify areas for growth.
  • Work with a group of global marketers across LTG who act as a studio for the portfolio companies.
  • Testing and optimizing marketing tactics for customer acquisition (e.g. SEO, product promotions, video production, webinars, content development) and conversion rate optimization.
  • Transitioning Open LMS from a company that was driven by traditional enterprise sales to a marketing, referral, and social selling company.
  • Leverage and expand existing platforms, including the OLMS community and the eLearn Magazine, to drive retention and thought leadership
  • Owning specific results around business growth and client retention.
  • Proposing creative new projects, from building free tools and apps that attract prospects and convert leads to testing new approaches to capturing existing demand.
  • Translating ideas to actionable items that deliver business results.
  • Supporting 20+ global channel partners in driving marketing initiatives in many regions and languages.
  • Lead a small, but growing team of marketers that are distributed globally.
  • Analyzing, recommending, and leading the implementation of improvement initiatives.

    You should be :

  • Kind, constructive, thoughtful and collaborative.
  • Curious, organized, and methodical in your approach to developing and continually refining marketing programs that drive measurable results.
  • Experienced with a nimble, scalable, modern tool-based marketing environment.
  • Knowledgeable of SEO factors and key algorithm updates.
  • At home with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience with SalesForce, Drift, Zapier, and Pardot, preferred.
  • Familiar with web analytics and A / B testing tools.
  • Understanding and willingness to nurture a global team in all time zones.
  • Passionate about UI / UX best practices.
  • Able to apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to complex issues.
  • Experienced in or familiar with growth hacking concepts
  • Experimental mindset
  • Comfortably fluent in English and Spanish, including writing business reports and marketing copy in English.
  • Leader with proven ability to build creative, collaborative teams; develop people; and link performance to overall business objectives.
  • Superb excellent written and oral communication skills. This role demands someone who is in love with the spoken and written word, understanding the power that comes from getting it just right’ both online and offline.
  • Have great appreciation for specificity, simplicity, and humanity in copywriting.
