Tittle : Full Stack JavaScript Engineer

Location : Medellin - Colombia

The JavaScript engineer will design, develop, and test various client and server projects. Our applications make use of NoSQL databases, OrientDB, InfluxDB, and Redis.

These are mostly accessed through server applications using NodeJS. For the front-end, client-side rendering is used almost exclusively throughout the project.

MithrilJS is the primary front-end framework. Other front-end stacks may be possible in some cases. Our primary product makes real-time data from sensor and automation networks available through the browser, allowing our users to monitor and control physical systems remotely.

Analytics and reporting are also a component. Some Python is used. Protocol integration is an important element of many of our projects, communicating with a variety of existing equipment using a range of industry-specific protocols.

Some essential knowledge and responsibilities :

Experience bringing applications from idea to production

Node.js

Front-end frameworks for the browser (react, mithril, svelte, something like that...)

Database knowledge - SQL, NoSQL. Graph Databases. Redis

Comfort filling multiple roles in a start-up environment

Ability to drive projects to completion with little supervision

We are a start-up helping healthcare facilities automate their facility systems as well as the acquisition and reporting of regulatory compliance data.

We have been doing this since 2014 and are beginning an initiative to build out focused feature-sets to enhance the benefit our application will have in the healthcare sector.

While most of our work is software development, we occasionally take projects in which we employ existing software to fulfill the needs of our clients.

We are often learning new things every month and remain very flexible to offer our clients custom, turn-key solutions. You will be working directly with the technical founder.
