Panagora Group provides monitoring and evaluation servicesin the international development industry and currently implements theUSAID / Colombia Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) activity.

  • The MELactivity provides technical and advisory services to USAID in the followingcomponents : (1) Monitoring; (2) Performance and Impact Assessments;
  • 3)Research, Assessments, and Data Analysis; (4) Geographic Information Services(GIS) and (5) Collaboration, Learning, and Adaptation tasks (CLA).

    The MEL Activity seeks a copy editor to support the developmentof its activities and edit preliminary and / or final reports, presentations, andother strategic documents for USAID.

    The ideal candidate will have knowledge ofUSAID’s work, experience with USAID branding and marking requirements, strongorganizational skills and attention to detail, and comfort working in afast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities :

  • Perform editing, copy editing, and proofreading grammar andspelling in the English language on project deliverables, preliminary reports,final reports, and presentations, ensuring each product adheres to relevantUSAID and / or Panagora style guides and branding and marking requirements.
  • Discuss deliverables periodically with activity staff toclarify questions regarding terminology, language, and context relevant to thisdocument, editing as needed to ensure the deliverables read well for theirintended purpose(s).
  • Submit copyedited English documents with no orthographic orgrammatical errors and with consistent language and formatting.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all information andobserve USAID’s communication and data management policies.

  • Requirements

  • Native English speaker and fluent in Spanish.
  • Five (5) years of experience in writing, editing, and revisingdocuments in English.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with demonstratedexperience providing editorial support on technical documents preferred.
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Prior experience with USAID activities preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office skills and editing tools.
  • Flexibility with regard to schedule to accommodatedeliverable schedules. (Deadlines will be mutually agreed with the consultant.)
