TheClinical Solutions Division of Elsevier uses itsindustry-leading intellectual property and content to create Clinical and DrugReference, Patient Engagement, Performance Management, Workflow, ClinicalPathways, and Decision Support products for healthcare professionals across arange of practice settings and commercial organizations.

These productsand tools aid in disease management, medication error reductions, workflowimprovements, effective patient management and economic analysis and costcontrol.

The Clinical Informatics Specialist (CIS ) is primarily responsible for successfully leading clients through thephases of the Elsevier Health Informatics EMR Triple I (Installation,Integration, Implementation) Methodology for the Elsevier Clinical DecisionSupport Solutions : Elsevier Care Planning, our evidence-

based clinical contentand Interprofessional Care Planning solution, Order Sets, our evidence basedorder set content and content management tool.

Health Informatics works with various electronic medical record (EMR) platformsand applications (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, MV, SAP ISHMED, etc.

The CISfunctions as a liaison between the Elsevier Clinical Solutions teams forContent and Product teams, Clients and Client specific EMR projectimplementation team members.

The CIS is responsible for establishing acollaborative working relationship and facilitating communication between theElsevier Clinical Solutions teams, the client’s EMR implementation resources,and the EMR vendor team.

The CIS provides both clinical and technical expertise grounded inevidence-based practices and clinical informatics theory to leverage thetechnical and functional capabilities of the EMR applications to achieveoptimal clinical workflows and clinician adoption and use of the Elseviersolutions within the EMR.

The CIS will also provide the requisite education and training services to boththe technical and clinical teams at the client organizations to ensure highdegrees of clinician adoption, satisfaction and improved patientoutcomes.

The CIS is part of the Elsevier Clinical Solutions Health Informatics Team andunder the oversight of the VP of Health Informatics.

This position reports tothe Regional Director RLAM.

Role expected around 50% travel time in the LATAM region (Not Brazil).

Your Responsibilities :

  • Care Planning & Order Sets datamodel support, enhancement, and maintenance during implementation withinvarious EMR platforms
  • Supports the product directors inmanaging the content build within the Order Sets, Care Planning database in alignmentwith the product strategic roadmap.
  • Serve as clinical informatics liaisonfor both client EMR implementation team and Care Planning / Order Sets Servicesand Products team members
  • Acts as the Elsevier onsite lead and isresponsible for ensuring the installation of the OS CMS client instance, thebi-
  • directional integration between the client's EHR and the Elsevier CMS andthe Implementation of Elsevier Order Sets and Care Planning.

  • Applies expertise to map workflows toEMR clinical documentation and order sets / care planning toolsets withoutdirect access to system configuration tools.
  • The CIS is the Elsevier Implementationlead for Care Planning & Order Sets and is responsible for the client's useand adoption of the Elsevier solutions.
  • Provides education planning support andprovides education and training services to ensure use and adoption.
  • Responsible for defining, implementing,tracking and reporting on Key Performance and adoption Metrics
  • Our Requirements :

  • Healthcare professional or health careproject management professional
  • HIT / EMR (Health Care InformationTechnology / Electronic Medical Record) implementation experience.
  • 3 years or more of clinical informaticsexperience is preferred.
  • Experience with direct HIT / EMR productconsulting, configuration and / or product management (Experience with clinicaldocumentation, order sets and care planning configuration preferred)
  • Strong customer service skills, abilityto educate and train clinical staff on the solutions.
  • EHR configuration and workflowexperience
  • Strong organizational, analytic, writingand communication skills
  • Fluency in English and Spanish isrequired.
