Position Summary
This position provides portfolio expertise insight and support to end-users, sales, marketing and other corporate departments to sustain and acquire business while maintaining and developing customer loyalty.
Supports the appropriate application of the company’s products via instruction, education, and understanding of these products and best practices.
Identifies product attributes necessary to expand into new markets, or capitalize on new applications. Identifies new, clinically driven product and market opportunities and performs other related duties as required.
Other duties may be assigned.
Products supported include Vascular Access Catheters, Surgical Clips Respiratory and Anesthesia product portfolios, including :
Catheters for Vascular Access
Surgical Portfolio Ligaclips Titanium, Polymer, Minilap, Fascia Closure.
Airway Management (laryngoscopes, endotracheal tubes, laryngeal masks and all related circuits), and pain management products (spinal and epidural needles / catheters, pain pumps)
Respiratory care products (humidification devices, oxygen and aerosol therapy and circuits).
This position routinely interfaces with :
NursesAnesthesiologists, nurse anesthesiologists, and various health care professionals in operating rooms and surgical centers.
Respiratory care therapists, registered nurses, and clinical members of the ICU or post-operative staff.
Hospital administration and procurement teams
Business professionals in group purchasing organizations and independent delivery networks.
Principal Responsibilities
Identify, analyze and implement sales opportunities to ensure consistent achievement of assigned sales quota.
Plan and execute on opportunities to present and sell new and existing products to respiratory therapists, nurses, anesthesiologists, critical care personnel, purchasing agents and other appropriate decision makers to generate orders.
Interact with internal personnel to resolve customer complaints and questions.
Identify and support tender opportunities within the territory.
Account for all territory expenses and materials.
Build relationships with key end users who will be advocates for company’s products within targeted specialties.
Identify, quantify and make recommendations regarding the product training needs of the sales and distributor’s organization;
determines most desirable, effective and efficient means to provide necessary training.
Visit hospital accounts on a regular basis to ensure increase of market share, brand recognition and identification of trends in healthcare market.
Identify and work with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) within the defined geography.
Maintain and develop expertise on products. Responsibility includes, but is not be limited to the Respiratory and Anesthesia product lines.
Aid distributors in the cross-reference and presentation of large tenders, formulary descriptions, etc.
Support the translation of sales collateral material.
Provide written and verbal communication to management regarding field activity and accounts information.
Manage all business-associated administrative tasks and responsibilities to support job-related activities, timely filing of required and / or requested reports, and documentation of activities via approved documents and forms.
Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Code of Conduct, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Product and Competitor research to remain on the forefront of medical device technology in the Anesthesia and Respiratory markets
As requested, may assist with national conventions and attend local, regional and / or national scientific tradeshows and educational meetings to promote products and in-service customers

Education / Experience Requirements
Fluent in Spanish and English.
Bachelor Degree and 2-6 years sales experience (Sales Representative) or 6-10 years sales experience (Senior Sales Representative), or level assigned based on skill and contribution level.
Prior sales experience would ideally include medical device sales experience selling to hospitals, operating room, ICU, post-operative suites and clinics.

Knowledge of principles used to find, analyze and assess clinical studies and appropriately apply them in the support of products.
Professional presentation skills for use in presenting products and clinical practice standards in customer meetings and educational programs at the hospital level.
