The Team : The team assigns credit ratings to companies in a variety of sectors, mainly in the corporate and infraestructure sector.

Analysts are located in Bogotá, with about 80 rated issuers in Colombia.

Responsibilities :

Actively participates in rating activities and committees, serves in a primary role on assigned credits and demonstrates strong proficiency with Excel, financial models, financial data, and financial statement analysis.

Works effectively primarily with local markets and jurisdictions in a team-oriented, multi-cultural and global environment.

Listens for and identifies new opportunities and involves the appropriate level of management.

Participates in committee by and preparing written and oral presentations to the ratings committee.

Possesses an understanding of financial markets and business environment and the relationship to S&P products.

Makes recommendations to the rating committee and prepares material for ratings publication.

What We’re Looking For :

Basic Qualifications :

o 3+ years of work experience, with at least 2-3 years of credit-related experience

o Advanced English is a must 90%

o Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial statement analysis and accounting concepts. Ability to prepare financial forecasts based upon reasoned assumptions

o Proficiency with figures and the ability to maintain accuracy and be detail oriented while complying with deadlines

o Strong Excel / Word / PowerPoint and database application skills

o Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills in front of internal and external audiences, as well as the capacity to expand, learn, and make a contribution
