The IT Director Regional BTL has accountability for setting the vision and strategy as the Regional Business Technology Leader (BTL) who can contribute, define, apply and manage multiple technology solutions, while being accountable for the regional investment portfolios and customer focus and management.

Location : Bogota - Colombia and / or São José dos Campos - Brazil

Responsibilities :

  • Technology Strategist who spans multiple technology solutions :
  • o Contributes to global technology strategies for business partners, by providing regional perspective.

    o Applies global technology strategy to regional business partners needs

    o Manage business expectations and keep business aligned to business requirements

    o Understands competition in-region and how they use technology

    o Oversees internal and external collaborations

  • Investment Manager :
  • o Defines priorities for business and associated technology investments, at regional level.

    o Accountable for all aspects of delivery to the region

    o Accountable for operational IT expense

    o Manages regional portfolio of investments

    o Manages regional delivery resources

  • Business IT interface :
  • o A critical point of contact for IT to IT service delivery (Director / VP Level)

    o Understands core internal IT products and ability to drive business value

    o Drives business partners towards standard solutions

    o Coordinates with other BU BTLs

  • Customer Focus & Management :
  • o Direct collaboration with customers to enable and support ETCS programs

    o Continuous improvement of the IT operating model

    o Business Process Improvement

    o Identify process pain points and early improvement opportunities

    o Build business case for improvement initiatives (e.g., impact, feasibility, and investment required)

    o Create implementation plans for improvement initiatives including timeline, owner, and key milestones

  • Key Relationships :
  • o Executives in the business and IT

    Requirements and Capabilities

  • Requirements and Capabilities
  • A minimum of 8 years related business experience is required.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or related experience is required.
  • A minimum 5 years demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence leaders at all levels of the organization is required.
  • Strong credibility with senior business and function leaders, demonstrated track record of resolving conflicts with multiple stakeholders is required.
  • Proven experience and ability to interpret, develop and present information to multiple audiences, and an ability to understand and anticipate reactions as a means to determining needs required.
  • Prior PMO / Program / Portfolio Management experience leading and managing complex, enterprise wide projects.
  • Includes deep knowledge of project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle required.
  • Demonstrated detailed organization or project management skills required.
  • Reviews and provides feedback on all key program management deliverables to drive improvements in overall program quality and foster program delivery excellence.
  • Experience working with and managing consultants and budgets also required.
  • Experience across a range of functions and / or sectors and proven track record of influencing, and negotiating skills that inspire trust and builds credibility with stakeholders to facilitate collaborations required.
  • Overall accountability for organization’s budget including planning, forecasting, monitoring and addressing budget variances.
  • Partners with IT, Business leaders and other key stakeholders to drive the development and implementation of holistic change and communication strategy.
  • Must have technical experience and domain expertise, technical knowledge of platforms and software technology, knowledge of business
