Role Description

You’ll be responsible for working with the team to inform and execute the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition within the Open LMS portfolio of products.

You’ll team with Product Managers, engineering, support, consulting, sales, and marketing teams, and engage directly with our client community to promote success and institutional impact.

You will be the person that bridges the gap between product strategy and development, you will be responsible for the backlog, organizing sprints, prioritizing development and should work to answer any questions around vision or strategy.

While focused on the adult learner market, you’ll coordinate with peers focused either on the higher education market or the corporate market, with the goal of maximizing each investment ability to impact the teaching and learning market as a whole.

Primary responsibilities include :

  • Help inform and execute the development of vision, strategy, and resulting roadmap.
  • Working with the Product, Design, and Development teams to deliver the roadmap and development priorities.
  • Translate product managers’s strategies and epics into tangible user stories, with concrete acceptance criteria, that are in concert with client and team input.
  • Managing and prioritizing product backlog, arranging sprints, and overseeing and evaluating all stages of product creation including design and development
  • Participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints, and be accessible to provide answers and guidance about the reasoning behind user stories or tasks.
  • Work hand in hand with the Scrum Masters

    You should be / have :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or Information Technology or related experience.
  • Kind, constructive, thoughtfully direct
  • Curious, organized, and methodical in your approach to developing and continually improving our products and their impact in the market
  • Able to apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to complex issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology - SCRUM certification a plus.
  • Proficiency in the use of analytic tools
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to work with large teams
  • Great networking aptitude
  • Fluent in English, at least a B2 level proficiency
