The Field Officer, based in regional offices in Tumaco, Bajo Cauca (Caucasia), Ocaña, is responsible for supporting strategic, technical and operational needs in the implementation municipalities in coordination with the Program Development Officer (PDO);
supervising and guiding program partners from the start to the conclusion of activities; and ensuring fulfillment of acquired commitments and timely and adequate activity execution.
The Field Officer will be based in the regional offices, and they will be able to travel to other municipalities when required by the program and authorized.
Provide strategic, technical and operational support during the project’s execution, evaluation, and systematization.
Support programmatic and technical aspects of the Colombia Transforma Program. Generating an implementation model through continuous progress and impact monitoring, identifying issues and obstacles, and promptly evaluating solutions for these to maximize the project’s impact.
Monitor grants in progress, including but not limited to : Attending grant events, collecting information, and drafting impact and progress reports.
Attend grant and activity coordination meetings.
Support grantee adherence to the grant agreement, implementation plan, and execution time table.
Develop and maintaining cordial, professional, and open relations with local partners, counterparts, grantees, and local authorities.
Contribute pictures, documents, testimonies, and information to the grant archive.
Visit and report on project sites when authorized by the Supervisor.
Continuously contribute to the political analysis and security updates (knowledge of the situational context).
Support coordination of the project’s events, conferences, and activities, including logistics and site selection.
Minimum two (2) years’ experience supporting social impact projects al local level, in coordination with local or national government entities.
Knowledge of program planning and implementation.
Experience working independently, preferably in development of high-impact projects.
Understanding of complex socio-political environments, especially of post-conflict situations.
Demonstrated field experience in conflict-affected areas, and willingness to travel in high-risk areas is essential.
Ability to work under difficult conditions while maintaining security awareness.
Experience working in such roles with USAID projects, specifically the Office of Transition Initiatives, is highly desirable.
Advance knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and FrontPage).
