The lifecycle planning, control and management of the assets of an organization (such as documentation, software and service assets, including information relating to those assets and their relationships.?
This involves identification, classification and specification of all configuration items (CIs) and the interfaces to other processes and data.?
Required information relates to storage, access, service relationships, versions, problem reporting and change control of CIs.?
The application of status accounting and auditing, often in line with acknowledged external criteria such as ISO 9000, ISO / IEC 20000, ISO / IEC 27000 and security throughout all stages of the CI lifecycle, including the early stages of system development.
Qualifications and Experience
2 - 4 years’ experience from similar backgrounds, or with exceptionally skilled candidates with a strong background in infrastructure services, automation or similar.?
Demonstrable experience of delivering technical change projects, working within an organization that has adopted the DevOps philosophy
Demonstrates a meticulous method of working and attention to detail.?
Has general awareness of all phases of the systems development life cycle.?
Is effective and persuasive in the presentation of local procedures, both orally and in writing.
System software which controls activities such as input, output, dynamic resource allocation, and error reporting, within the operation of a computer configuration.
Examples : Windows, Linux, OS X, MVS, UNIX, Virtualisation, Cloud Services.
The management of the processes, systems and functions to package, build, test and deploy changes and updates which are bounded as releases into the pre-production or production environment, concession management on acceptance of level of non-conforming release items.
Knowledge of scripting, eg. Bash shell scripting, Python, Windows PowerShell (DSC), VB etc.
Strong English skills (Level 90%)
