Quality Control Manager
X230 Quality Control Supervisor
o Bachelor’s of Science degree in an aviation related, technical, logistics, or business field from an accredited institution or an associate’s degree and at least 10 years of progressive experience in the management of aviation quality control programs.
o Minimum of 12 years aviation quality control experience in the military, government or commercial aviation field, to include 5 years’ experience in an intermediate level or higher aviation maintenance facility as a licensed quality control inspector.
Military aviation experience or an FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) is required.
o Demonstrated experience with the aviation configuration control process and backshop management, such as destructive and non-
destructive first article testing, establishment and collection of quality metrics, execution of quality plans, preparation and execution quality related tests, data collection and analysis, and conducting manufacturing Source Inspections / Vendor Audits.
o Minimum of 10 years’ experience supervising personnel in the aviation maintenance field. Managerial experience at increasing levels of responsibility is preferred.
o Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the maintenance and control of aviation technical manuals in a large aviation organization.
o Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience with rotary wing aircraft.
o Possess a FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
o Experience with maintenance and logistics management of Bell HUEY-II and Sikorsky UH-60 is required. Additional experience with maintenance and logistics management of C-
208 Caravan aircraft is preferred.
o Knowledge of Microsoft Office and an automated maintenance management system is required. Experience with the Army Maintenance Management System is preferred.
o English language ability equivalent to the Foreign Service Institute Level R / 3, S / 3; Spanish language ability equivalent to the Foreign Service Institute Level R / 3, S / 3 is required.
Strong written English skills required.
o Knowledge of Colombian Aeronautica Civil, U.S. FAA, and U.S. military maintenance regulations is required.
o Knowledge of Colombian safety standards and procedures is required.
o Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a Moderate Risk Public Trust certification conducted by the Bureau of Diplomatic Security DS / SI / PSS) prior to contract performance.
