THE ROLE :

Hillrom's comprehensive product and service offerings covering hospital beds, vital signs measurement, patient monitoring and clinical communications within 3 segments (Patient Support Systems, Front Line Care and Surgical Solutions) are used by health care providers across the health care continuum and around the world in hospitals, extended care facilities and home care settings to enhance the safety and quality of patient care.
Recently Hillrom acquired the assets of Connecta, a software solution which will enable connectivity linking patient bedside vitals data from Hillrom beds, cardiac monitors and vital signs monitoring devices automating calculations for patient deterioration, falls risk and ulcer management.
The wireless solution improves clinical workflow, saves time, reduces errors and risk.
The Clinical Consultant Connecta builds and maintains effective long-term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with key senior level decision makers and influencers at an assigned group of customers that include customers within Colombia.
S / he will be responsible for collaborating with the sales and marketing team towards achieving sales and profit goals through development of Reference and Pilot Sites, and training and follow up of Connecta projects.
The Clinical Consultant will help the Sales team demonstrate the value of Connecta.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS :
The Clinical Consultant Connecta reports is an individual contributor (no direct reports) and reports directly to the Sales Representative - Connecta.
S / he will work collaboratively with Sales Representatives, Field Engineers within the emerging markets, specifically Colombia.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Drive conversations with Key Clinical stakeholders to enable the creation of Reference and Pilot Sites according to marketing plan and commercial targets for Colombia.
Work with Reference and Pilot Sites to measure clinical effectiveness and create actionable clinical evidence at different level of robustness (Testimonials to RTC) as needed.
Identify Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and work with marketing to develop an advocacy program to create and promote best practices around Patient Deterioration other Clinical Vectors supported by Connecta.
Deliver clinical presentations of Connecta solutions to customers, internal teams and at public events (tradeshows and Webinars)
Support Pilot and Project implementation. Provide post installation support and training to make sure customers achieve full ownership of the Connecta solution.
Provide Marketing and R&D team with customer critical feedback and suggest possible product innovations.
Train Hillrom and distributor sale reps and clinical staff.
Works closely with the marketing organization to resolve complex client issues and meet their needs.
Expected travel 50% (activities in the customers around the country).
This role will work out of our Colombia office in Bogotá. Candidates residing in Medellín will also be considered. Local candidates only.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor’s degree is required.
Healthcare professional 5 to 7 years experience preferred. Clinical consultant, nurse in a hospital setting, physiotherapist, or similar background.
Experience in clinical sales and solution validation. Software Solution will be a plus.
Healthcare and / or medical device industry knowledge is required.
Strong customer orientation.
Excellent planning, organizing and leadership skills.
Evidence of continued personal and professional growth and development.
Experience in defining and developing clinical workflow solutions.
Ability to operate in a matrixed environment and work effectively with sales, service management, marketing and customers.
Demonstrated track record of successful presentations (preparation, delivery, Q&A) to large, cross-functional and / or multilevel including sr. executive audiences.
Proven ability to train / manage / influence / coach peers and staff who do not have a direct reporting relationship.
Ability to rapidly acclimate to change, embrace and identify new opportunities.
Strong ability to work cross-functional and foster a team environment.
Fluency in English; written / spoken / reading is preferred but not required.
