Endava is looking for committed and forward thinking Team Leaders, who will be part of a well-established Application Management Discipline across Endava Group.

Application Management being a complex service which has the purpose to cleanse and improve applications estates resulting in smart, efficient and low maintenance business software underpinned by improved service from a blended Agile applications service model.

  • You will be part of the Leadership Team of AM Discipline and will be coached by the Head of AM
  • You will lead one or more teams of AM engineers, having a key role in AM projects from Banking, Payments, Insurance, Media, Publishing, Retail or Telco industries
  • You will serve as a technical and domain expert and help the customer to achieve their purpose
  • You will be the one to inspire, motivate and lead by example
  • Your main responsibilities will be to organise, delegate and monitor the performance
  • You will keep team members responsible, accountable and motivated, focusing them on long term learning and continuous improvement
  • You will solve complex technical problems that may encounter, review and enforce the quality of code written within your team
  • Ensure that the client’s data and information are protected from unauthorized access
  • You will guide the team’s vision and ensure that everything goes according to plan
  • Match your profile

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java, Web development and SQL
  • Experience in Java EE, Spring, Web Services, Design patterns, EIPs
  • Experience in one of the following databases : Oracle, MS SQL, DB2
  • Experience with advanced database development : stored procedures, query optimization, indexing techniques
  • Strong skills in analyzing existing code base and design pragmatic amendments
  • Profound understanding of client-server and service-based architectures
  • Good knowledge in Web applications, Back-end systems
  • Fluent English is a must
  • Experience in building and leading a team
  • Well-developed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Client focused and client oriented mind-set
  • Proficiency in leading, providing direction and controlling team members
  • Ability to listen to the team members and communicate instructions effectively
  • The following skills would be a plus :

  • ITIL Practices
  • Experience in troubleshooting, supporting, and / or administering applications
  • Continuous delivery, Continuous integration, Agile Development Principles and Kanban Methodology
