Key Responsibilities :
Serving as a Functional Solution Consultant, working with leadership and Account Executives to ensure the Ellucian Banner Finance portfolio is presented and demonstrated to institutional processes which include both academic and business needs.
Coordinate and participate in strategy and discovery calls, represent Ellucian at industry and user conferences, and provide a variety of functional product support throughout the sales process as needed.
Active support for strategic sales and specific sales situations that have complex demands.
Support directly regional user group events.
Working as part of a team of Functional Consultants, Technical Consultants & the Sales Organization.
Business process review and analysis of client business requirements. Gather and document business requirements, discuss with clients and present back their requirements
Configuration and Software presentation workshops (preparation, execution, and follow-up)
Ongoing prospect communication and follow up.
Documentation of prospect engagements with handoff’s to the Professional Services team.
Communicate with Ellucian R&D, Product Management, Sales, Professional Services and other departments regarding prospect issues in advance.
Escalate outstanding issues to management as necessary.
Take active role in identifying, communicating, and advancing internal process improvement suggestions / initiatives.
Participate in company-wide cross-departmental initiatives as required.
A Bachelor’s Degree in accounting (with emphasis on financial accounting) or equivalent business experience
Experience and knowledge of the financial accounting, finance services and finance systems in Higher Education.
Verbal and written fluency in English and Spanish.
Candidates who are already skilled in the use of any Ellucian Student Information System (Banner, Banner Finance) will be strongly considered
Software / ERP implementation experience, preferably in the education sector with well-honed presentation, speaking and writing skills.
Strong analytical, financial and accounting skills.
Strong interpersonal skills; both written and oral.
A self-motivated person with ability to contribute to a team dynamic is required.
Accreditation, affiliations and contributions related to the higher education industry would greatly enhance the candidate’s qualifications.
