General Description

As Solutions Sales Engineer you will be responsible for design and define the Solutions Sales Proposals for financial institutions and retailers, according to the features that most suit the customer needs or requirements and better contribute to the business offer.

You will be in charge of the project follow up cycle, from the Sales and Promotion of the Solution to its Implementation Process and final acceptance of the delivery.

A week in the life of a Solutions Sales Engineer :

  • Identify and define the customer solutions needs, leading the customer expectations to be aligned to the Solution Potentials and Feasibility
  • Designing the Architectural Integration for solving the total requirements and identify constrains before submitting any Technological Offer
  • Managing the sales process in order to point out the technical features and advantages of any standard or already customized Technological offer
  • Supplying Consulting Services to the customers regarding the security systems involved in the specific proposed solution
  • Managing different Customer requirements at a time and controlling the different status for the projects already in the pipe
  • Managing Customer Internal interfaces involved in the project when needed, in order to guarantee efficient relationship and plans execution
  • Managing Partners skills, behavior, commitments and formation in order to maintain an efficient Partner Network
  • Include third parties proposals (Partners or Customer Supplier) in both, solution architecture and sale proposals when needed
  • Supporting Sales & Business Development in order to help them to get the solution pricing according to the customer context and business model around the solution
  • Coordinating with Sales & Business Development Team the available solutions portfolio presentation to Customers in the Banking & Payment field
  • Evaluating and assessing significant information for solution customization or adaptation, consolidating functions and new or changing services, parameters, processes, operations, controls, etc.
  • congruent to the their implementation, expansion or development feasibility

  • Defining the solution architecture to suits the Customer Requirements considering always the support from different internal Gemalto interfaces expertise and support
  • Supporting Financial, Customer Services, or any other team involved in the project to figure out the scope of every project and its implications in each field
  • Sustaining a very effective professional relationship with Gemalto Interfaces in order to guarantee the correct communication and awareness of their capacities and influences on business and Solutions
  • Supporting Marketing Team in order to address the correct information in every product or solution marketing material
  • Providing enough feedback to the Corporate Specialists Team about the difficulties, bugs and issues found in the solutions offer basket and in the already deployed in order for them to take actions in their improvement and growing
  • Generate Cost Effective Banking & Payment Solution Proposals
  • Generate Expertise about the Banking & Payment Solutions Basket and all the standards, technologies and specialized knowledge implicated
  • Developing procedures, schedules, priorities and programs for achieving better results when promoting, selling, customizing, developing, implementing and deploying solutions
  • Using project management tools to oversee project progress, assessing risk factors and identify potential threats that could lead the projects to risky situations
  • Ensuring Projects Information Capitalizing and Versions Control
  • Identify high potential resources, internal or external
  • Create and Maintain Partners Networking
  • Attending, presenting and / or participating in continuing professional education classes, training courses, Security forums and Regulation Organisms when possible
  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience :

  • To succeed at this job, you must have : Leadership and initiative skills, Excellent communication of presentation skills, Persuasive and Sales Speechskillful, Project Management Skillful, Strong Technological knowledge about the industry and in general;
  • Multi-disciplinary : Sales development, consulting, implementation and support; Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize tasks : organize, plan work and meet established deadlines giving assistance to Partners;
  • Ability to exercise judgment including the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information; Ability to work in an international environment

  • You must be bilingual in Spanish and English, Portuguese and French (optional)
  • You must have BS Computing Systems from a top college or university
  • We are looking for someone with More than 5 years of proven and related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferably Software or Services provider) in Gemalto or outside Gemalto
  • Knowledge in C++, Java for Windows and Linux Platforms,OS / 2 WARP, DOS, UNIX, SOLARIS, Windows 2012 and 2016. SQL Server, Oracle Platforms.
  • MS Office. WebServers, Mobile Platforms : iOS, Android, WPhone, Mobile Applications.

  • With Specific technician knowledge : Security Standards (PCI-DSS, FIPS, NIST, RSA PKCs#, OATH, ICAO, ISO IEC, Common Criteria and Strong Authentication Technologies Knowledge;
  • Cryptographic Systems and Key Management Processes; Digital Security and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Environments Knowledge;
  • EMV Standards Proficiency; Banking Transaction Flow Systems and Architecture Knowledge; Internet Security Technologies and Industry Trends;
  • Mobile Industry Technologies and trends; Payment (Present and Non-Present) Industry Technologies and Industry Trends
