Job Description

The Seeds Distribution Requirements Specialist is responsible for the optimal supply and inventory management of seed products.

He / she acts as the key link between warehouse, CSR & operations for the optimal supply of finished product to warehouse, plant, and / or customers, this role will support the supply chain team by Executing transactions and tracks movement of products associated with the distribution requirements plan, including domestic movements, imports and exports.

Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following : *Serve as the point of contact to work with for ease of interaction (issue resolution, procedures, SAP expertise, order adjustments) related to ensuring theefficientmovement of material in support of minimum inventories.

  • Effectively interact with various functions M&S, CSR, S&L, regional supply chain, demand manager and Logistics providers.
  • Assist in the resolution of issues such as :
  • weather delays and holiday related issues
  • freight forwarder performance issues
  • order placement issues and supporting order paperwork / special requirements teams.
  • Set date for customer delivery based on lead times, etc. and communicates to Customer Service.*Communicate timing for arrangement of invoicing to customer to CSR.
  • Have knowledge of tariffs and rates.*Follow product through transportation and into warehouse when released in customs, with appropriate SAP entries.
  • Communicate product delivery information*Request shipment of material when available*Follow the steps to receive documents.
  • Check documents, ensure no discrepancy; may have to request revised documents*Receive shipment documentation, validate information, and prepare necessary paperwork.

  • Interact with warehouse for appropriate shipping products for meeting customer needs.
  • Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years’ experience in logistics, customer service, sales, production planning role, SAP competency role or equivalent.
  • Experience with Supply Chain related work emphasis on Transportation, warehousing, inventory management systems.
  • Bachelor degree in logistics or International Trade.
  • Knowledge and experience with International trade is a plus
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office (Microsoft Office, Excel, etc)
  • Excellent written and oral communications
  • Interpersonal and networking skills.
  • The ability to work as a team member in a respectful manner in a diverse work environment.
  • APICS CPIM certification preferred
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
