  • Support strategic planning and tactical implementation of core medical activities to ensure the safe, effective, and appropriate use of our products in Latin America
  • Lead Regional Medical Affairs (MAF) strategic objectives and plans for portfolio under development ensuring adequate resourcing, in alignment with patient needs, business priorities and Janssen’s 2020 strategy to be a groundbreaking medical innovator
  • Ensure engagement and high functioning Credo based culture in the organization
  • Lead medical strategies and cultivate effective co-creation of all activities within the Integrated Brand Value Team (IBVT)
  • Lead the Regional Medical Affair Teams (RMAT) fostering efficient communication, education and alignment with the MAF managers from each of the Latin American operating companies
  • Facilitate partnerships with other regional and global functions and organizations as an effective member of the Global Medical Affairs Teams (GMATs)
  • Ensure early and robust regional medical input as required for pipeline developmental progression and successful product launch and commercialization
  • Drive consistency and alignment of Medical Affairs strategies, goals and activities within region, with focused attention on both the growing complexity within the regulatory and payer environment as well as the diversity of each country’s healthcare systems by being responsible for the Latin America medical affairs team
  • Build relationships with external partners (payers, healthcare providers and patients) advocating for Janssen’s products and reputation
  • Qualifications

    WHAT IS NEEDED TO BELONG TO THIS TEAM :

  • Experience in Pharma industry, ideally in Medical Affairs;
  • A Medical degree;
  • Medical residency in Hematology / Oncology or Specialization, or previous experience with this areas
  • Deep knowledge of drug development process, including : clinical epidemiology, randomized controlled trials, and publication plans
  • Scientific and technical thought leadership with knowledge or learning agility to rapidly acquire understanding of health care compliance, study execution, pharmacovigilance, clinical / medical drug development, benefit risk management and regulatory affairs
  • Shown ability to work effectively in a complex and diverse organization
  • Confirmed capacity to work through complexity, difficulty, and adverse situations with agility and adaptability
  • Experience working with multifunctional teams
  • Leadership (direct or by influence) in Pharma environment
  • Fluent in English. Spanish or Portuguese are optional.
